The actual stone size of the carat weight may vary depend on the material and other factors such as depth and pavilion angle. Actual measurements (length x width x height) and a picture of the stone to better assist you.
To measure gems with a ruler / Calipers:
1. Place the stone on a flat surface with the pointed facing up,
2. Measure the length of the longest dimension,
3. Measure the longest width perpendicular to the length,
4. Measure the depth by placing the stone tip up, holding a ruler vertically against the side of the stone and measuring the distance from the flat table surface to the culet.
If you're not sure how to accurately measure a gems, seek help from a local jeweler.
